The Board of Directors

Ngiam Kee Tong graduated from University Malaya in 1978 with an LLB, or Bachelor of Laws (Hons.) degree and was called to the Malaysian Bar on 4th January 1979. He founded Messrs Khairuddin, Ngiam & Tan in 1984 and is currently its Senior Partner. He currently sits on the Board of Oceancash Pacific Berhad, Saujana Resort (M) Berhad, TA Enterprise Berhad and TA Investment Management Berhad.

Chew Chin Guan, Bobby obtained his Bachelor of Law degree with Honours from the University of Malaya in 1994. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in March 1995, whereupon he proceeded with active practice in civil litigation.

In May 1997, he joined the Company’s Legal Department and was subsequently promoted as the Manager in the Department in February 2002. In April 2003, he resumed his legal practise as a partner with Messrs G.H.Tee & Co, Advocates and Solicitors and subsequently in January 2005, as a partner with Messrs Chris Koh & Chew, Advocates and Solicitors.He was appointed an Independent Non Executive Director of TA Securities Holdings Berhad in July 2007.

Nor Asma holds a Diploma in Investment Analysis from Mara University of Technology (UiTM) and an Executive Bachelors Degree of Management from Asia E University. She joined TA Securities Holdings Berhad (TASH) in 1987 as dealer’s representative and subsequently she was appointed as Senior Manager of TASH Dealing Department in 1994. In June 2012 she was transferred to TA Futures Sdn Bhd (TAF) and appointed as the Compliance Officer of TAF and subsequently as Executive Director of Operations in 2017. Nor Asma has an experience in the trading activities for institutional and retail clients both local and foreign for the local as well as overseas equities markets. She was also involved in the recruitment and training for both dealer’s representatives and remisiers of TASH.

Mohammed A’Reeff Bin Abdul Khalid obtained his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas, USA in 1990. He started his career in the stockbroking industry with KAF-Seagroatt & Campbell Securities Sdn Bhd. He has vast experience in handling institutional and high net worth clients. From 2003 to 2005, he was actively involved in the Bumiputra Dealer’s Representative Education Fund (BDREF) in the Finance Committee which was under the supervision of the Securities Commission. He joined TA Securities Berhad (TASB) in May 2004, to develop the institutional clients’ base in line with the company’s expansion program. He was appointed as an Executive Director Dealing of TA Securities Holdings Berhad (TASH) in December 2007, a position he holds till June 2016. Thereafter, he was appointed as Executive Director of TA Investment Management Berhad on 10 June 2016.

Choo Swee Kee is the Chief Investment Officer and Executive Director of TA Investment Management (TAIM). He joined TAIM in July 2005 and has over 25 years of experience in the investment and stock markets. He leads the investment team and is responsible for implementing the investment strategy for the funds and managing TAIM’s portfolio. After graduating, he began his career with Coopers & Lybrand in 1987 as a senior officer. Between 1990 and 1999, he worked as an analyst and fund manager in Singapore and Malaysia, gaining valuable experience in the investment field. Before joining TA Group, he was the Chief Investment Officer at KLCS Asset Management Sdn. Bhd.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.

Zainab Binti Ahmad holds a Bachelor in Business Administration Degree from the Institut Teknologi Mara/University of Ohio. She started her career in June 1983 with A.T. Securities Sdn Bhd as the General Manager. She then joined TA Securities Sdn Bhd as Director in December 1987 till October 1990. She was then appointed as Executive Director of TA Enterprise Berhad on 13 March 1990, a position she holds to-date. She also sits on the Boards of TA Global Berhad, a public listed company; TA Centre Berhad, a public company which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TA Enterprise Berhad and a number of companies within the TA Enterprise Berhad Group.


Key Management Personnel

Tee Ling Ling serves as the Chief Executive Officer of TA Investment Management Berhad (TAIM). In her role, she oversees day-to-day operations, implementing strategic initiatives, managing client relationships, and ensuring regulatory compliance. She plays a vital role in driving the company’s success and growth.

She joined TAIM in November 2008 and has held various senior roles within the company for the past 16 years. Under her leadership, the company has experienced exponential growth and success. She was appointed as Chief Executive Officer on 7 January 2025

With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, she is a seasoned professional in banking and asset management.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) Degree in Finance and is a Capital Markets Services Representative’s Licence (CMSRL) holder for fund management. Additionally, she holds a Certified Financial Planner designation.

Joey Pang Ching Yi joined TA Investment in November 2024 as the Chief Marketing Officer. With over 14 years of professional experience in the financial services industry, she brings a wealth of expertise in Global Markets and Wealth Management. She has held various roles at renowned financial institutions including OCBC, UOB, and RHB, where she has been instrumental in shaping innovative financial solutions. She excels in managing the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to execution, and has consistently delivered value-driven strategies that enhance client experiences and business outcomes.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance from University Putra Malaysia, graduating with First Class Honours. She has also been a Certified Financial Markets Practitioner with the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) since 2017.

Sammi Lim Shuey Shya is the Head of Product Development for TA Investment Management Berhad (TAIM). She has more than 12 years of working experience in asset management, affluent, and high-net-worth segment businesses. She joined TAIM in 2016 as a product development manager. Prior to joining TAIM, she worked at Maybank and AmBank, focusing on customer segmentation, value proposition design, campaign management, and customer insights.

She holds a Master of Business Administration from Putra Business School (University Putra Malaysia) and a Bachelor of Financial Engineering from Multimedia University. She is also a Certified Financial Planner®.

Ch’ng Soon Kim is the Compliance Officer at TA Investment Management Berhad (TAIM) with more than 14 years of experience in the banking industry and fund management. He joined TAIM in 2021 and is committed to fostering a culture of compliance, ensuring that it remains relevant and effective to the company’s operations. He started his career in 2006 at Al-Rajhi Banking & Investment Corporation as a back-room officer. In 2011, he joined RHB Asset Management Sdn Bhd as Assistant Vice President in the Compliance Department, where he was responsible for overseeing the compliance of unit trust funds. In 2014, he moved to KAF Investment Funds Berhad as the Designated Compliance Officer. Subsequently, he joined a Digital Investment Management firm, where he supervised the overall compliance and risk functions.

He holds a Bachelor in Business Administration, majoring in Business Administration, from University Putra Malaysia, and a Master in Business Administration, majoring in Islamic Finance, from Open University Malaysia.

Alicia Khor Swee Chin is the Head of Operations at TA Investment Management Berhad (TAIM). She brings over 20 years of experience in the unit trust industry to her role, where she is responsible for the overall planning and execution of operational functions at TAIM. Having been with TAIM since 2010, she ensures the smooth running of the operation function of the company which includes processing of all Unit Holders application and maintenance of the Unit Holder system. She is highly skilled in managing the operations department and consistently provides innovative ideas to improve workflow and enhance systems. Her focus on eliminating manual work, streamlining and automating processes has significantly reduced turnaround times while continuously improving efficiency and productivity.

Ranizaz is the Head of Agency for TA Investment Management Berhad. As part of his role, he oversees and responsible for driving the growth of agency channel for TAIM. He joined TAIM in year 2009 in agency department and subsequent being appointed as the Head of Agency in year 2022. He has more than fourteen (14) years of experience in financial services industry, specifically in agency business. He is also a Capital Markets Services Representative’s Licence (“CMSRL”) holder for fund management, and a Certified Financial Planner.

Lee Shi Chuan serves as the Head of IUTA at TA Investment Management Berhad (TAIM). Since joining TAIM in 2016, he has been instrumental in driving the growth of the financial institutional channel. He excels in managing IUTA sales teams by developing and implementing effective sales strategies and plans, while demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt to industry changes for effective team and client management. Before his current role, he was a Relationship Manager at a leading asset management firm in Malaysia. With over 14 years of experience in the financial services industry, he has a proven track record in developing and maintaining customer relationships across a comprehensive range of banking services, from investments to insurance. Mr Lee is also a Certified Financial Planner®.

Rachel Lew Yen Peng is the Head of Corporate & Institutional Sales at TA Investment Management Berhad (TAIM). She is responsible for investment and marketing activities for the corporate & institutional sales for the company. She has more than 23 years of experience through her involvement in investment management and strategy for her clients’ investment portfolios in both RHB Asset Management Sdn Bhd and AmFunds Management Berhad ; wealth management, branch operation & distribution, risk management and compliance experience with RHB Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and Citibank.

She holds a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Banking & Finance, from the University of South Australia. She is a member of Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM) since 2006. She holds a Capital Markets Services Representative’s License (CMSRL), and is a Registered Financial Planner (RFP).

Lucy Magdalene is the Head of Customer Service & Communications for TA Investment Management Berhad. She has more than 20 years of working experience in the unit trust industry. She is responsible for the overall smooth running of customer service & communications functions. Prior to joining TAIM in 2008, she was attached to KL City Unit Trust Berhad.

Nor Yuhana Binti Mohd Kamal is the Head of Marketing at TA Investment Management Berhad (TAIM). She is responsible for spearheading the marketing strategies and executions for TAIM. She joined TAIM in July 2024, bringing with her 14 years of diverse professional experience spanning research and development (R&D) and asset management, providing her with a unique blend of technical, project management, and marketing expertise. Her career began at Sony R&D Centre, where she contributed to innovative research projects, particularly in Digital Certifications. Later, she transitioned to asset management at Maybank Asset Management, where she gained valuable experience in managing financial assets and developing marketing and communications strategies. She demonstrates strategic thinking by developing long-term marketing strategies that align with business goals, while leveraging her strong project management skills, honed through her R&D experience, to ensure the efficient execution of marketing initiatives. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language Studies from the National University of Malaysia (UKM).

Investment Committee

Main Functions of the Investment Committee

The investment committee’s main responsibility is to formulate, implement and monitor the investment management policies of the investment managers to achieve the investment objective of a particular Fund. The investment committee meets at least once a month.

The investment committee members have years of experience in overseeing the investment management functions as required by the pertinent guidelines.

Dato’ Tay graduated from North East London Polytech, London in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Applied Economics and subsequently obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Economics from the University of Wales. He is experienced in finance, stockbroking and resort development. He was the Chief Forex and Money Market Dealer for D&C Bank in Kuala Lumpur. Thereafter, he joined D&C Nomura Bank as Corporate Finance Assistant Manager, BSN Commercial Bank as Treasurer and Pengkalen Securities as Senior Manager respectively.

Nor Aziah joined TA Securities Holdings Berhad since 1991 and a holder of CMSL license issued by the Securities Commission under the Securities Industry Act, 1983. She holds a Bachelor of Business in Business Administration from RMIT and a Diploma in Investment Analysis from ITM. She has more than 20 years experience in stock broking industry and has been involved in both retails and institution business. She oversees the dealing activities of TA Securities Holdings Berhad and is presently the Head of Dealing Department.

Kaladher is the Head of Research of TA Securities Holdings Berhad. He holds a Bachelor of Economics (Business Administrations) degree and a MBA from the University of Malaya. He has been doing equity research for the past seventeen years and has extensive experience in market strategy and equity analysis covering oil & gas, telecommunication, technology, glove and consumer sectors. Prior to joining the stockbroking industry, he had an eight-year stint in the electronics industry holding various senior level management positions.

Investment Team

The investment team is responsible for managing, realising, investing or howsoever dealing in accordance with the investment objectives of the Funds. The investment team shall have discretionary authority over the investments of the Funds subject to the Guidelines, the relevant securities laws, the internal procedures as well as the direction of the investment committee of the Funds.

The investment team of TAIM is headed by the Chief Investment Officer, Mr. Choo Swee Kee who is also the designated person responsible for the investment management of the Funds. The team will report directly to the investment committee on a regular basis on the status of the portfolio of the Funds, proposed investment strategy and discuss matters relating to the portfolio.

Vivien Loh Jee Wae is the Head of Portfolio Mandates at TA Investment Management Berhad (TAIM). With over 25 years of industry experience, she currently leads the Private Portfolio Management division at TAIM, specializing in managing absolute return equity strategies. She joined TAIM in 2005 as Deputy Chief Investment Officer (CIO) before leaving in 2011 to join Philip Capital as Deputy CIO. She returned to TAIM in 2016. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics and Management from the University of London, and is a Capital Markets Services Representative’s Licence (CMSRL) holder.

John Ng Jiunn Yuan is the Head of Fixed Income at TA Investment Management (TAIM), responsible for leading the company’s fixed income investment capabilities. He has 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, primarily focusing on fixed income and credit evaluation. Prior to joining TAIM, he worked at AmFunds Management Bhd, where he managed fixed income unit trusts and private mandate portfolios. He spent a decade at regional and international banks, specializing in credit assessments for both local and foreign issuers / borrowers / counterparties.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Malaya and a Bachelor of Economics from Jinan University, China. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.

Mohammad Hafiz Bin Mahmud is a Senior Fund Manager at TA Investment Management Berhad (TAIM), specializing in Shariah-compliant and focused mandates. He started his career as a lightning protection specialist at Pekat Teknologi, where he worked on various projects involving lightning protection systems. After 6 years in the engineering field, En. Hafiz joined TAIM in 2015 as an analyst and gradually rose to his current position. He holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Unirazak.

Lam Chee Mun is a Fund Manager at TA Investment Management (TAIM), where he is responsible for Malaysia and Regional equity investment and research. He also handles fixed income credit evaluation and investment. He works closely with the investment team on equity, fixed income, and money market investments for TAIM funds. In addition, he is involved in structured products and fund of funds investments. Prior to joining TAIM, he served as a compliance manager at KL Unit Trust Berhad for 4 years and worked at a local stockbroking company for 6 years. He holds a Bachelor of Business (BBBA) Degree from RMIT University, Australia, and is a Capital Markets Services Representative’s Licence (CMSRL) holder.
